Part 5 · Measure honestly

15Master one exit before adding three

A fixed 1R target first; experiments later.

A one-to-one target.

146-pip risk and 46-pip reward: 1R each way.

Hypothetical illustration, not real market data.

The baseline is one fixed 1R target: a 46-pip stop means a 46-pip target. Leave it unchanged.

Optional later experiment

Split exposure into three equal portions, close two at 1R and manage the third as a runner with a trailing stop three pips beyond each completed daily candle's low (long) or high (short), only when it tightens the stop.

Runner arithmetic.

1Two portions closed at +1R contribute +2/3R.
2If the runner loses its third: net +1/3R. If it earns +3R on its portion: +5/3R gross.

Hypothetical illustration, not real market data.

Honest note

Label any runner experiment as a separate version. Mixing results from two exit rules hides what each one does.

Key takeaway

One exit, tested unchanged, before any second idea.
